I wasn't trying to create a Twitter-style feed but it accidentally happened.. I actually like it though. Now I have to re-structure the database a bit to make it work better as one... but...

When replying to someone it shows what was replied to in the live feed. We've had that before at some point in the past. This will end up working like Twitter where you can reply to replies with liking and all that. I switched to the Twitter dark theme just for the screenshot lol

And forum posts become profile posts (or replies)...

The live feed will be more active. There will be some way to find stuff. Maybe the profile post will support tags so in the case of forum threads they would have a tag or tags.. like "Forum" and whatever the forum name was.

I've been messing with different editors (like a box where you type a comment or post a status update) and they all are good and suck in their own ways. I've wasted a lot of time on them so I'm gonna pick one and improve it later... gotta get this finished! "Make AntiZocial Great Again!". haha

Normally I it take a month to re-create the site but this time is different. This way is like creating two sites so it takes twice as long. But it should be a much better experience when it's done!

And mentions won't be lost. After type @ and a couple letters you get username suggestion and they'll get notified when you post the content... like here.

Like here, there will still be a Giphy image search. For adding Giphy images to posts and chat and stuff):

The one on here doesn't let you browse very many and sometimes fails to insert the correct image. The one I made works and lets you browse them all that match your search.

Might as well support hashtags...

Clicking shows posts that also have the hashtag. It was easy to add so why not.

This will probably be done enough to replace this site end of November or early December, depending on how much time I have to work on it. I changed most of the tech I'm using for it so that added extra time (had to re-write a lot of code).

Nothing interesting to show (still playing catch up), but here's how far I've gotten on the user profile sidebar (sidebar slides open on phones)...

That's where albums list is, followers, and people followed. The wording in the screenshot is to entice people to join! lol

The list on the post flows off the page on mobile... more work to do. I plan on adding more reaction types and I would like icons different from normal emoji's but that probably won't happen right away.

Work on this is kinda on hold right now until it's determined who's president. If Biden actually becomes president, there will be more censorship online that may interfere with running the site. This year there's been MASSIVE censorship on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, not to mention from PayPal and other payment providers. Democrats are continuing to push for more censorship online.

I appreciate everyone who's stuck around this long. This site software has some nice features but far from old school. I didn't do what I wanted to do with it. I wanted to make it look more like old school. Then I started on a new site and the future of the Internet became unknown and still is. Hopefully that'll change soon and work can resume.
